New Orleans

I’ve been reading some news and bloggers’ reports from New Orleans. It sounds totally insane. Like in a horror movie. I just watched one like that, it’s called 28 days later (dvd), an awesome sci-fi horror about the virus called Rage that destoryed Great Britain, and how a handful of survivors tried to exist in the new world, defending themselves from the rage-infected. It reminded me of Stephen King’s The Stand, being in some ways better, and in some ways worse. I think it’s a great movie. But, but just to imagine that there’s something similar going on for real in a city in America, in a great beautiful city (which we also dreamt of visiting some day). It’s shocking and it’s sad.

I didn’t really care for 28 Days Later, but I think I may have just had my fill on zombie movies. Like the scene where the dead guy is suspended in the air for some reason and one of the survivors looks up and blood drops into his eye? I hated that scene.

Yea, of course, I remember that scene. I actually think of it as a lesson: don’t get bothered by irrelevant details (like that crow), focus on the survival and stay alert. And the way they casted that role (definetely not a superhero type) I already felt pretty sure from the start that he’d be one of the first victims. ;)
