Hello,
I have been asked to transfer data from a Tandy 1000HD computer that has a Tandon TM252 hard drive(MFM) and a controller card. The keyboard is missing so I have removed the hard drive and controller card from the computer.
How would you suggest that I go about getting the data from the hard drive?
I do have an older computer that has Windows XP Pro installed and the motherboard has a slot that the controller card will fit into.
I have inserted the card into the slot but have not attached the hard drive or turned the computer on as yet.
Will Win XP recognize the controller card and eventually recognize the hard drive?
What are your thoughts/suggestions?
Thank you!!! Bob Felison

Censorship bar? You mean the black bar above the motor barings? Seems like a warranty sticker to me... The blue Maxtor logo is clearly visible :P

Why is there a censorship bar in the middle of the HDD? Did you buy one that was pre-censored? :)

Lol.. let me guess.. it only detected that its 153GB? :D Or... forgot the master/slave jumper? :) Or perhaps the case came with a single connector IDE cable instead of the normal double connector. Am amazed you managed to get this far with just 60GB... I got 760GB and im STILL out of space lol. Looks like you have a very standard computer with everything onboard... lol not exactly a performance machine but not everyone requires one.
