20 scholarships in Warsaw

Today I got an email from Jan Malicki, a chairman of Eastern European studies program in Warsaw University. He writes that Warsaw University is going to grant 20 scholarships to graduate students from Belarus and Ukraine, to study politology for one year (from March till December, 2006). The deadline for applications is January 20, 2006. The main requirements are languages (English, Polish, Russian — you should know at least some of them fluently), an undergraduate degree, and some experience in political studies or practical experience in the field. All questions should be addressed to stypendia.studium@uw.edu.pl and malicki@adm.uw.edu.pl.

In the meantime, I re-established contact with my good old friend who’s been working in Warsaw for the last several years. He tells me he has a very nice apartment and invited us over.
