You don't think that Russian imperialism is on the rise? You don't think that Belarus is the key for Russian imperalists? Did you hear what Putin said last week? He said that most important factor in deciding who's a Russian ally and who's not, is the treatment of Russian language and Russian culture. And I think it's one of the first times (or maybe the first time) when he said it openly. It suddenly becomes obvious why "orange" Ukraine is not a friend or strategic ally, but Lukashenka's Belarus is a strategic friend, no matter what. The answer: because Lukashenka consistendly promotes Russian language and Russian culture in Belarus. Endrus, too much fantasy and geopolitics for my taste. ;) Let’s keep it more concrete.
