Video from Minsk
I’ve received several short videos from Minsk. They were recorded with a camera phone during Milinkevich’s meeting with the voters on March 2. The video quality is low, but I guess it’s good enough to portray the overall atmosphere and our police-state “ambience” (and, mind you, this was one of the most serene events I’ve ever seen — police didn’t beat or arrest anyone, reportedly, they were gentle :)).

• Video #3. Special police forces line up, with shields and batons
• Video #4. Policemen are hitting their shields with batons as an act of psychological intimidation
• Video #5. “Milinkevich!”: People greet the united opposition candidate Alexander Milinkevich
• Video #6. “Svabodu!” (Freedom!): people are yelling “Freedom!” during Milinkevich’s speech
• Video #7. Milinkevich: “We will be a free country!”
• Video #8. “Hanba!” (Shame!) at the policemen; a panoramic view.
Since the video was captured with a mobile device, the file format is a bit unusual (.3gp). It’s not possible to play it in Microsoft’s Windows Media Player, but you could play it using QuickTime or Real Player without any problems.
