Thank you so much, Robert. Actually, I’m extremely busy right now (which is related to elections), so I don’t have a free minute. As I predicted, it doesn’t look good (another “elegant victory” for Lukashenka), but I’ll write something tomorrow morning, a kind of wrap-up summary.

It’s pity there’s almost nothing in English, no blogs, no special news coverage.

Though CNN showed something on the evening news.

I had planned to go to Belarus in July for the previously scheduled election date, but well, that didn’t go down. Hopefully something will come out of this. Keep it up!

Wow. It’s Lukashenka got even more of the vote than they were estimating on the BBC. I’ve just only woken up (China time). It’s good to see the people actually voicing their opinion one way or another.

Oh well, you guys won’t get anywhere, not enough popular discontent. Better luck next time, we tried to bring that fucker Milosevic down at least twice before we succeeded, so who knows, 2010 is just around the corner…

There was a long story about the election on National Public Radio here in the States this morning, and that’s definitely the most I’ve seen a standard media outlet here give it. Deutsche Welle had a huge story on it during their Journal tv program yesterday.

Unfortunately, I believe a lot of the world attention will be diverted by the upcoming election in the Ukraine. :-(
