Arrests continue
Police still employs the same tactics. They stealthily arrests people when they leave October square, usually in underground passages and subway entrance.
Amnesty International estimated the number of arrested people at 400.
Today, protesters tried to bring in mobile bio-toilets. At that moment police attacked them and started beating them up. One of the youngsters lost consciousness after taking severe beating. An ambulance came and they wanted to hospitalize the young man, but he refused to leave October Square.
People say that today there are fewer foreign correspondents at the square. And protesters are concerned about it. They view this presence of foreign correspondents as a guarantee that police won’t storm and destroy the camp, arresting everyone, when no one is videotaping the scene.
At around 22:00 Viachaslau Siuchyk (a well-known political activist) and ten other people were arrested when they left the square.
