Dozens of members of the European Parliament were wearing Belarusian whte-red-white scarfs today, with the inscription “Solidarity with Belarus” in red letters. In the morning the president of the European Parliament gave a warm welcome to Alexander Milinkevich who was also wearing the white-red-white scarf.

Well… that’s just fashion news, isn’t it? ;)
BBC has an article about it, written by some Romanian journalist, and the headline reads “EU welcome for Belarus poll loser.” I guess the fashion of catchy headlines has gone wacky in the EU.

lol I find it nice to see the EU parliament voicing their support. Ive had a rather interesting view on Milinkevich’s current position. Its almost like he’s Belarus’ international president. He’s meeting people all over the world and tries to make arrangements and plan things, while lukashenko is only busy reinforcing his fortress of fear.
